This page documents a historical release. Version 0.13.0 was released on 2026-10-02 and was no longer the latest jev-mcp release when verified on 2026-10-08. Use the pinned command below only when reproducing or evaluating this version.
What changed
- jev_verify now requires contradiction evidence to address the claim subject itself.
- Off-subject contradictions become unsupported and require review instead of being treated as direct contradictions.
- Judgments with a missing claim subject also require review.
- The release includes a runnable deny-only coding-agent hook example with optional human escalation and bounded input, runtime, and subprocess cleanup.
Installation
npx -y @jkudish/jev-mcp@0.13.0Compatibility checks
- Pin @jkudish/jev-mcp to 0.13.0 to reproduce this historical behavior.
- Regression-test workflows that consume contradiction, unsupported, and review outcomes.
- Keep bounded input, timeout, subprocess cleanup, and human-escalation behavior when adapting the hook example.
Scope and limitations
The published coding-agent hook is a deny-only example. It can stop an action when the verifier rejects it, but it is not a complete authorization system, sandbox, or substitute for human review. Applications remain responsible for tool permissions, audit logs, failure handling, and safe defaults.
